Organizations complete bus stop projects in Saipan

Two PPP Partners top first in MVP Adopt-A-Bus Stop Competition

(Saipan, The Marianas – June 06, 2022) The Bistro Boyz with Tyler’s Gelatte Stone and Smoked Out Crew and the Marianas High School (MHS) took top spots in the Governor’s Council of Economic Advisers’ (GCEA) Marianas Village Pride Adopt-A-Bus Stop beautification competition.

The Bistro Boyz, Tyler’s Gelatte Stone, and Smoked Out crew won in the business category, winning a $1,000 hardware store credit from the ACE Hardware Saipan. The crew enhanced the As Matuis Bus Stop on April 4.


MHS topped first in the school category winning a $1,000 store credit for sports equipment from the AllStar Sporting Goods. The school’s staff and students enhanced the Commissioner Joaquin S. Tudela Community Park’s bus stop in San Vicente on April 8.


Within the same month, the 4H Marianas – Saipan 4Hers transformed the Gualo Rai bus stop on April 27. GCEA extends a special thanks to the Lt. Governor Arnold I. Palacios for helping the 4-Hers fix the chairs, holes, and roof of the bus stop.

On April 30, 2022, the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) gave the Navy Hill bus stop a long overdue paint job. The OVR will be completing its second phase of the bus stop project by the end of June.


GCEA extends a Si Yu’us Ma’åse’, Ghilisow, and Salamat Po to the Bistro Boyz, Tyler’s Gelatte Stone, Smoked Out Crew, Marianas High School volunteers, 4H Marianas, and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation.
